I have some teachers books [100 maths lessons etc] and I want to pass them on to someone who will use them and not sell them . I could do that if I could be arsed but Im feeling philanthropic :)

Has anyone any ideas how best to do this? I dont really want to use freecycle as I am pretty sure they wont go directly to a person who would appreciate them (our freecycle is haunted with car boot sellers) .I also would like them to go as a whole lot.there are probably about 20ish books in a box, so posting could be a problem.

Over to the Mumsnet collective brain :o

What part of the UK are you in? My sister is a reception teacher and I know she would Love something like that. Am sure she would be Willing to pay too! :)

Im in the east Midlands. But I'm not really looking for anything for the books.

I just thought that someone could use them as I have done. But its finding the right person that's proving difficult.

Me too. I have yonks of education magazines for Primary, teacher's photocopiables all cluttering up my cupboards.

If you have any suitable for Reception Vampireteggies , I'm sure my sis would be very interested.

Marjoriew, how much are you looking for for it? My sister is in Hertfordshire :)

Marjoriew · 23/10/2010 17:52

Not looking for anything. I HE my grandson [11] and I've just had my annual inspection, so we're having a couple of weeks break while I clear out primary stuff and get new stuff in.
I'd just like to see it go to a good home.

Vampire - you could speak to your local teacher training college and offer them to the B-ed or PGCE students.
