Hi,
I would like to hear your views and opinions about the business idea that I have:I would like to offer Italian classes to children aged 5-11 years old through afterschool clubs. I would like to call them "The little Italian Clubs" and want to have a max. of 5-6 children in a group.
I am fully qualified in Italian(Master's degree in Italian) and have passion for teaching.I found some excellent teaching materials designed for children and once my website will be ready, I want to contact some schools to offer them my services.
I would like to find out from you what the "appetite" for such services would be. Would you be interested in Italian classes for your children?Any comment or advice highly appreciated.

The books that I intend to use is called "Raccontami" and this is a brief description:

Raccontami is an Italian language course for children offering a new and stimulating method for learning Italian. It is the first course of Italian language that is also directed to preschool children. Thanks to the ?narrative method?, focused on story telling and repetition of tales and stories, children are stimulated to speak and listen to Italian without ever being stressed , but on the contrary having fun and feeling fully integrated in the classroom. The teaching units are based on original and exciting stories, which stimulate the children?s curiosity and imagination and which, through the pleasure of story telling, allow a fun and entertaining approach to the language. The book offers to teachers, besides clear and simple instructions, a set of photocopier charts to use for games and class activities. The volume is accompanied by a CD with the dramatized reading of all the stories and lots of songs and nursery rhymes for a joyful and participated teaching approach. The course if divided into two levels: Raccontami 1, for 4 to 7 year olds; Raccontami 2, for 7 to 11 year olds. Raccontami 1 includes: a book of teaching units, with illustrated stories, picture glossary, activities and games; a set of ready to Xerox materials for the teacher; an audio CD with dramatized reading of the stories, songs and nursery rhymes; a work book for homework.

Idea sounds good. I'd certainly like my children to learn.

But whatever you do, do not call them anything with Little in the title if you are hoping to attract a market of 10/11yos. 10yos have often reached puberty, they are raging with hormones and imo obsessed with their street cred. They wouldn't be seen dead near a club called LittleItalian. Lots of 5yos wouldn't either tbh.

My dd would love this and I would be keen for her to learn too.

Languages can only become more important in the UK.

Agree the older group would want a different name.
