We might have to move to somewhere near Nuneaton if I get a job around there. I have no idea of the area. DH had a choice taking up a job in Birmingham, which he didnot(I had a major role in not wanting to move) but things have changed and I no longer have any objections to move. He might be able to get a job around there.
I have a DD in year 5 and was changed to an independent school last year and is doing very well.
People have mentioned various areas among them - Solihull, sutton coldfield, warwick etc.,
I want to know how long will it take to travel to Nuneaton from these places as the time given in aa route planner wont work in real life
Thanks in advance

I agree with fsmail. You must be rolling in itShock if you can afford Solihull prices (vastly inflated because of, inter alia, very good State schools) and yet want to pay for private education.
You will be going somewhere where you have no family nor friends nor support network. Don't you want your DD (and you!) to have local friends?

Sorry I should have made it clear that KEGS is hugely competitive. Two reasons -

a) Fees are on a sliding scale so even people on fairly low incomes can afford to send their children

b) The results are spectacular

Just to give some perception - I don't have a huge choice of jobs to choose from.if there is a choice I won't move from where I am (no grammar school )
She is a capable, happy child I most certainly don't want her to spend two hours a day just travelling to and from school.AS to the choice of state vs private she went to an outstanding primary school and we had to move her to private due to certain issues and I don't want to take any chances although the schools might be different.
I don't have any family in this country but do have two friends( with children of same age) in solihull .
I know for sure that it is a good place to live., I f I get the job I will rent first before we buy.
I also know that we won't get much for our money in solihull.

St Martins, Solihull is excellent. Would defiantly recommend her going there. I nannied for two children there and you can email their mum if you want more info about it.

Have you thought about Kenilworth? Great secondary school if you don't want to go private. Nice little town.

Both Rugby and Warwick private schools are great. Leamington Spa and Warwick are both lovely places to live but might be quite a commute?
