My Childs health and weight

Just wondering if anyone out there worrys about their children growing up overweight or even obese? I mean in todays way of the world easiness is the way forward for many....I am worried!

Rather than sitting worrying, why not spend the time making stuff at home rather than buying ready made food.

Have a couple of rules - my ds only gets sweets at the weekend and then not many. He never has squash and I try to limit his salt.

Then take them to the park until they have run round enough to be shattered, keep TV to a minimum and you won't have anything to worry about.

Im not particulary worried about my own children as I have a decent understanding about healthy diets and portion sizes. But I do see the problems that face a lot of people of todays generation and I cant see things getting better unless society changes its lifestyle as a whole.

err what's to worry about? don't give them too much to eat, child-size not adult-size portions, keep junk stuff to a minimum and make sure they're very active

tbh I'm more likely to worry that my dc don't eat enough - they're all like string beans and constantly on the go

rather than worrying about them being overweight, just concentrate on bringing them up as healthy and active - i.e. a positive focus rather than a negative one.
