Rather than sitting worrying, why not spend the time making stuff at home rather than buying ready made food.

Have a couple of rules - my ds only gets sweets at the weekend and then not many. He never has squash and I try to limit his salt.

Then take them to the park until they have run round enough to be shattered, keep TV to a minimum and you won't have anything to worry about.

Im not particulary worried about my own children as I have a decent understanding about healthy diets and portion sizes. But I do see the problems that face a lot of people of todays generation and I cant see things getting better unless society changes its lifestyle as a whole.

err what's to worry about? don't give them too much to eat, child-size not adult-size portions, keep junk stuff to a minimum and make sure they're very active

tbh I'm more likely to worry that my dc don't eat enough - they're all like string beans and constantly on the go

homefitness that's a funny user name - you wouldn't be trying to promote some kind of business now, would you Confused

I wondered that too basildonbond.

No need to worry OP - you're aware so that's most of the battle won.

rather than worrying about them being overweight, just concentrate on bringing them up as healthy and active - i.e. a positive focus rather than a negative one.
