Im 40 now and have not been in education for a while so im a bit scared of applying .
I also am very slow at typing due to RSI from my previous job(i was a Holistic Therapist) where i spent hours doing sports/pregnancy massage.I also have 3 children and a DH that works away.
Somebody talk me out of it (or in to it)

May I heartily recommend OU AA100 (The Arts Past and Present) which is a pretty-much compulsory opening move for most humanities degrees (it's the replacement for the old Arts Foundation)? I've just finished it, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Go to Birkbeck! It is fabulous and the History dept is really strong, with some star academics. It is easy to get to - 10 mins from St Pancras etc by foot and you only need to be there 2 or 3 evenings a week for 24 weeks of the year for 4 years! It is set up for mature students - lots of understanding and support. At the end, lots of people go back for more - MAs etc
