Selling baby clothes

Hi there, want to sell some of my DD's baby clothes and wondered if you have any hints. Have read the other thread about maternity clothes so know to only sell seasonal, but anything else? List singly or in a bundle? is there a better day of the week to list? is it better to sell on here? just doing it to clear some space so won't be doing it as a business....
Looking forward to hearing from you

Depends what kind of clothes they are - if it's mainly supermarket/high street type stuff I'd sell it in bundles. If you have any items like Molo/Katvig/No Added Sugar or Boden/JoJo/Baby Gap I'd sell them individually as they sell well, even in used condition.

I've got a lot of Baby Gap and some nice JoJo too could never afford NAS! how much for a nice gap denim skirt? £1.50? or start at 99p cos it's free to list? and do you take it to the PO to work out the postal cost first, or do most people charge £2.50 for one item?

I'd probably start single items at 99p. Do you have any scales at home? Weigh the item with the envelope and you can work out postage cost on the Royal Mail website.

My advice would be to sell any good quality single items or whole outfits separately.

Then bundle up what is left over. Some brands such as Baby Gap, Next and Monsoon sell quite well. It you have enough to bundle them up and sell them as "100% xxx" that will get the most value out of them. Then just do a huge bundle of the bits that are left over. Personally I would start general bundles at more than 99p as there is a lot of baby stuff on ebay and they can go for next to nothing.

Sunday evening I find is the best time to list.

As there is so much competition good photos and descriptions are essential.

I've sold lots of baby clothes recently, almost all Little White Co or Boden. I've sold singly with a 99p starting price. Some have sold for just 99p, others have gone up to £7 .

Some of the post and packaging charges are a bit steep, £2.99 for some sellers!

Why don't you get a picturetrail and try on here first? Poeple will pay you personal paypal so no fees.

ahhh - good point - need to get it all ironed and photographed first then will give it a go...

I'm new to selling on eBay but seem to be doing quite well.
I've made sure I've taken 3 or 4 good photos of each item and provided a description with lots of info.
I've also made the P&P slighter cheaper than it should be, just to get me going really, but find that it's working out well as people are more likely to look, bid up and feel they've got a bargain, but the total price is still good for me if you gt what I mean.
Also, put as many key words as you can in the title eg. colour, size, brand, style, season - this helps people who are doing a search.
Sorry if all this is blindingly obvious, it just helped me when i started out!!

Ah have just noticed your recent replies - have listed 12 items and they all end tonight! exciting stuff. No bidding wars yet, but 3 things have bids against them and I am very thrilled just for that I could make ohh £9.48 - not much considering the whole evening it took me ironing, photographing and listing them!
Wish I had seen your posts before listing as I think my postage charges may have been too dear. I had put £2.00 as that was what I had been charged before, but I reckon I should have gone lower for the interest.
Anyway, will let you know how I get on, am hopeful of a last minute flurry of activity.
