Bought a DS game off Ebay seller. Paid Paypal. Received yesterday. Turns out it says US version and also the paper insert looks very fake.
I haven't opened it as i was going to contact seller today.
Now i have an email from Ebay saying item i bid on has been removed and to not go ahead with the transaction. But that's too late as i have paid and got the item.
Item is not showing in my won items on my Ebay.
Do i just go ahead and put a claim in with Paypal or do i need to contact Ebay 1st?
Was meant to be for my DD's birthday .

I would say email Ebay back to tell them you had already paid prior to their email and what should you do and at the same time put a claim in with paypal - get the ball rolling!

Contact Paypal.

They will be helpful.

Thanks
I phoned Ebay (bloke was pretty useless! ) and opened a dispute with paypal. Now just have to wait until i can escalate it to a claim as seller isn't likely to reply!

Exactly same thing happened to me. Except that I don't think the game has been delivered (first time ever I asked for something to be sent directly to someone else, wanted it in time for my nephew's birthday).

Replied to Ebay's email sating item had been withdrawn and not to pay, and they emailed back saying don't email the seller, but also to contact the seller about my dispute, all in the same email!!!!

I didn't know you had to open a separate dispute in paypal, will be doing that now!

Hi open a dispute with Paypal they usually ask you to take the item to a local dealer to verify your suspicions. However as they are already aware of the problem they may not. They often ask you to destroy the item and send photographic proof that you have done so. When they have completed their enquiries they return you money.
