Children modelling items...

Am I right in thinking that the ebay rules say I can't list, say, a babygrow or a toy if any children are in the picture? Really don't want to fall foul of cp laws, but can't really see the harm in it...

What about if I crop the faces out of the picture? Or would it be better to model the clothes on dolls or something?

I've seen recently some people posting pictures of their babies wearing the stuff. To be honest I thought it was a bit odd. Put me off buying..

Well, clothes will look nicer modelled than just laid out flat. No catalogues have the items hung on a coathanger on a door.

I don't know what the rules are but like scully it would put me off, weird, especially if the faces are blurred, that would look plain wrong. Sold and bought plenty without ever having seen a pic of it 'modelled'

fair enough, I suppose I'm thinking in terms of catalogues and need to get my brain into ebay mode.

Thanks!

I think as long as it is clean, ironed (so many bits look like dishrags!) and clear you shouldn't have any problems

Recently I was looking for a specific top on ebay. So I stumbled upon a picture of a woman modelling it herself, which in itself was not so bad, BUT you could actually see some hairy legs with huge white feet in the corner, I think her boyfriend had taken the picture of her while lying on the bed... It was so bizare...

Lol, so I will shelve my plans to ask my very beautiful and stylish teenage sister to model some items for me then!

I suppose the difference is that on ebay, you are buying the actual item, so maybe it is a bit odd to see it worn by someone else.

I remember few years ago there was a story on ebay of a bloke breaking up with his fiance and selling her wedding dress by modelling it himself. He was a tatooed heavy-set byker-type, LOL. I remember it got loads of bids..

yes and studio photos for catalogues are very different form home done pics, a lot of the time when people model them for Ebay, they can come across as soft porn the adult clothes I mean!
