Is it ok to withdraw an item and will it cost me anything?

I am using Ebay for only the second time. I have listed a few items of children's clothing. There are a lot of people watching certain items, but no-one is watching two very nice pieces. No-one has bid on anything yet.

I have listed with a start price of 99p and so it hasn't cost me anything. The auction ends in 5 days. Is it ok to withdraw the items that no-one seems interested in. I would be disappointed if they went for 99p. Or is this bad form and do Ebay charge you anything?

try one and see - if you do get a charge it can't be as much as you anticipate you would lose

Thank you. I think I will withdraw a couple of things that no-one is watching for fear that they will sell too cheaply.

you can do it but too many times and it does go on your account.

Ooh. I've withdrawn 3. How many is too many? Do you mean it affects your rating or do you mean they charge you for it?

Im sure ebay keep a tab on how many times items are withdrawn. I know they do it for retrected bids too. you can see how many retracted bids have been done and its often offputting.

nigglewiggle · 26/03/2010 22:21

No-one had bid on the items, no-one was even watching them . Does that make a difference?

Yes. However if a buyer retrats a bid it can seen by the seller and they can be reported if the bid was retracted for an invalid reason.
