Is it worth selling baby stuff on eBay?

I've got lots & lots of like-new baby clothes. All good makes like Next, John Lewis, Gap, Toby Tiger etc. Just wondering what the best place to sell it is? Prices at our local NCT sale seem pretty low and you have to pay £20 upfront for the table but so much seems to go unsold on eBay. My neighbour is having a garage sale at the weekend so I thought I might try there but I've also got no idea of what is realistic pricing.

Any tips or advice?

Hi! I would say some used things do sell pretty well, but dont expect more than a few pounds each. If you dont mind selling it cheap, start with 0.99 p price, it will attract more bidders. Also, dont overcharge for postage. I would also wait for the next "free listing weekend", this way you can try selling without losing the listing fees in case the items don't sell. Good luck!

I found Boden, Gap and Next sold really well and often for great prices ( but do start at the 99p and expect to let some go at that cost so enusre your postage is spot on).

But I struggled to flog the John Lewis stuff - and it was good stuff.

Thanks. Maybe I'll take it all to the garage sale but stick to my guns price-wise on the Gap/Monsoon/Next stuff etc and try eBay if I don't get any takers.

Scully if I do it on a free listing weekend won't that mean the market gets flooded?

I have sold Boden and Gap quite easily.
Don't think I've tried other makes

I thought so too, but I got so many watchers right now, and quite a few bids, and I was also able to list some things at a higher price, so even if they dont sell I wont lose any fees. Maybe try listing at higher prices when it is free, just to see how it goes...

Also, to be honest, its a buyer's market, there are so many sales going on, so it is not easy to sell a used item at a good price...

That's really helpful. So I might as well try at my neighbour's garage sale and save myself the time & effort of packaging it and going to the Post Office.
