How can sellers justify P&P charge on children clothing?

I've sold loads of clothes on Ebay and have pushed my p&p as low as pos - even with recorded. Why do some sellers put £5 on a t-shirt for a 5 yr old? Surely if they tried it could be packed up into A5 or at most A4 size quality envelope. I have even packed up in nice carrier bags. I'm not interested in tissue papers and fancy bags. I just want my item to arrive safely. I can do postage around £2. If the item new is £15 then why try and sell it used starting bid £4 and p&p £5?

Am I stupid or are these sellers trying to be clever (or think they are?).

I know what you mean - it really bugs me. I always weigh what I'm selling and just add about 30p to the postage cost to cover packaging.

They can't and I wouldn't bid on something with such a high postage.

You have a choice.

You either bid ... or walk away.

You don't pay fees on postage so its a way of getting a minimum amount without setting a high reserve and paying the fees.

As Carrotfly says, don't like don't bid.
