Bought some shoes off Ebay, they say they are a size 6 but they are clearly not - what to do now?

I'm really disappointed. I spent quite a lot of money for me, on these shoes that are just ace, but don't fit! They say in the shoes that they are a size 6, but I'm a size 6 and they are way too small. I've compared them with my other shoes and they are obviously a size smaller. They are not American sized, it definitely says UK 6.

The woman who sold them had in her description that she was selling them because they were too small for her, having bought the wrong size by mistake.

Am I entitled to a refund?

Hmm, just re-read description. She says in her description of them that she bought them off the internet but bought the wrong size. However she told me that her boyfriend had bought them in London.

Thats suspicious then isnt it! Two stories about where she got them from - I think she is having you on.

Im not an ebay expert though so I dont know what you can do now......

Good luck with it though!

Well she sent me a rude email to say that she advertised them as a 6, they say they are a 6 and I bought them as a 6. She's still insisting she could get her size 7 feet into them. But I've never had a pair of size 6s that didn't fit yet, if anything I'm more of a 5.5, so there is no way on this earth that she got her size 7 feet in there! However it seems there nothing I can do.

I've relisted them but I've put in full measurements.

I just hope I get some of my money back. At least I get the chance to leave her negative feedback.

I've returned things in the past. The buyer has to refund you what you paid, but they are not obliged to refund you for sending the item back.

I bought a pair of boots last winter, I can't remember what make they were, but a well-known one. They were advertised as a size 6 but when they arrived they were a size 5 mislabelled as a size 6. When I contacted her she gave me a story about her boyfriend buying them for her brand new in Londond but she's a 7 etc etc. Anyway I contacted the company who sent an email back saying that the shoes were taken off because of a problem with American sizing being put onto UK shoes, that was 2 years ago so the seller certainly didn't buy them new from their stores.

I sent the email to ebay and got a full refund, but ebay still instructed me to return them, signed for, for which I wouldn't be refunded.

It's not fair, but that's how they do things. I guess you just have to live and learn - and leave bad feedback.

That's the same person beatie... But thanks for updating us with the end of the size-6-shoe-saga.

This is weird, why did this get a post in Dec if it was originally all happening in May?

beatiebow · 09/12/2009 15:03

I didn't even notice it said May-but yeah-still doesn't make sense!
