Do you have to combine postage?

Hi
Sorry me again.....

Someone has purchased 2 items from me and I can see that she may win a few more. She has not asked for combined postage, but if she does, do I have to agree? Its just that some of the items are going for a few pence and Im reluctant to miss out on p&p that covers some of the paypal fees.

Is that awful of me? How could I arrange it so Im not in a minus?

you don't have to - but IMO (as a seller) it's good "customer service" to do so.

You're not really supposed to make money from postage charges

Using P&P to cover pay pal fees is against Ebay rules.

Oh is it sorry Im a bit new to this ( can you tell?)

So I should really combine then ..... I thought I had read somewhere that you could add for packing and reasonable costs for tiem etc...

Ok will do

in future make sure you set your starting price at something that if it sells at that you're not going to make a loss.

I would combine postage if I were you - you don't HAVE to - but think of yourself as the buyer, which would make you most likely to leave good feedback, and feel happy with the purchase? Combined postage or having to pay each on individually.

You don't have to totally reduce it - but I always take into account things like - well I only have to use one envelope instead of X, if sending them recorded (recommended to avoid claims of it not having arrived) you only have to pay for one lot of that etc

If it's clothing I normally charge whatever the highest postage amount is and then 50p for each additional item.

If you work out what you would be saving by combining it all and reduce it by that amount, then neither you or the buyer have to lose out.
