I have just got an email from a recent buyer saying clothes were dirty and stained, not good enough for even a charity shop.

The clothes i sent were not stained and dirty.

She has already left a negative without me having a chance to offer her the chance to return and have a refund.

I am so .

poor you that's rotten. email and ask why she didn't contact you so you could refund.

what's her feedback like?

you can also add to the neg something like 'buyer didn't contact me so didn't have chance to rectify or refund'.

Tortoise · 17/04/2009 18:53

Her feedback is 100%.
I don't know how to word an email back. I am just so cross. 2 of the pairs of trousers were my favourite of DD's and were hardly worn. Definatly weren't dirty.

just write calmly: can i ask why you did not contact me first for a refund before leaving feedback?

i'd be on at them straight away.

Tortoise · 17/04/2009 19:12

Thanks, will try that.

Got this reply this morning:

Happy with one pair jeans, so happy to keep them and normally refunds are not an option, and to be honest its not worth the time and effort over 2 pairs of pants, when i expected better quality in the first place.

Any tips on how to respond to this? And should i respond to feedback?

blimey what a moo.

i wonder if you could ask her to remove the feedback especially as she didn't contact you first.

southeastastra · 18/04/2009 13:27

i ask the question on the community q and a boards, they're usually really helpful. (if you don't get answers on how to proceed here)

Tortoise · 18/04/2009 13:33

Not sure Ebay would remove it and she doesn't sound like she gives a damn.
I am sure she would if the boot was on the other foot!
I have blocked her from ever buying off me again.

But i do want to reply to her email. Will have to think about what to say.

OP posts:
southeastastra · 18/04/2009 13:42

would just put something like 'would have appreciated a chance to have recified this before you left feedback'.

maybe?

Tortoise · 18/04/2009 13:48

Thanks. Will use that . Want to ask her how she would feel if someone did the same to her.
Her feedback ('Disappointed in quality clothes stained and dirty!') makes it sound like all 3 pairs of trousers were shite!

southeastastra · 18/04/2009 13:57

yes tell her that too

i'd be so mad

bubblerock · 18/04/2009 21:41

I'd be mad too - I hate shitty buyers, I was upset when I got a neutral!
Completely vindictive and petty, but could you get a friend to bid on some of her startrights and leave negative (I know it's wrong but I know how gutting it is when Ebay buyers are assholes).

Tortoise · 18/04/2009 22:11

lol Bubble. Wish i could do that.
Have emailed her. Will let you know her response.(Always worry it could be a MNer!)

You poor thing, I know just how you feel, and agree with southeastastra, post on the ebay community q&a boards.

Tortoise · 18/04/2009 22:51

I have now replied to her feedback.
Not sure that anything else can be done.
Just have to hope anyone looking at my items also reads feedback not just looks at feedback score. I know that is what i do anyway.

I would ask for the items back. Say, if she was so upset with the quailty of them enough to leave awful feedback then she won't want to keep them...

Ebay atm is fecking me off. I have had someone contact me over an item i was selling..auctions have ended a few times for same item with no sale. YET a few watchers..this person emailed me today asking for item at listed price and for me to do it as BIN.

Said I wouldn't as already listed a few times and it costs me each time.AND BIN costs alot more..so I loose out iykiwm.. Suggested settling outside of ebay (wrong I know) but saves fee's and im genuine/trusted with over 200+ feedbacks..

she said its against ebays rules . BUT asked for auction to be relisted and her to bid and me to end early . Like I will do her a favour when she wouldn't me....

BTW a collection only item has just now been bid on my account and buyer is based in USA, account only opened today ...revenge me thinks.

hope you sort it x

I bought a top from a while ago, tortoise and it was immaculate, perfectly ironed and smelled lovely too! There is no way you would sell something that was less than pristine. Your buyer is a nasty cow!

Tortoise · 19/04/2009 19:25

Latest reply
'I wouldn't of sold items that i'm not 100% confident are of good condition or that i would be more than happy to receive myself. Its unfortunate that you feel that way.'

I ahve replied saying that i was 100% confident of good condition. And said to her that maybe she will consider giving a seller the chance to refund/reply to email before leaving neg feedback. As this is Ebay rules!!

Wonder if she will reply!?

Chipmonkey Thanks, glad you were happy with your purchse.
