How do you know her husband tampered with the screws?

EldonAve · 01/04/2009 18:53

What is it?
Does it still work?
Was in brand new or used?

expatinscotland · 01/04/2009 18:59

Did she pay with PayPal?

Fionafly · 01/04/2009 19:24

Basically you are screwed. If she paid for it with paypal - paypal will see in her favour.

My present situation is that customer has sent item back to me. It hasnt arrived but parcelforce have got a tracking number w3hich shows it has.

I rang parcelforce and gave them my address and the tracking number and they saqy that they have a different address for that tracking number.

I rang the buyer and she checked her proof of posting and the housename is indeed different tgo mine and also different to the ebay/paypal registered address BUT becaseu the postcode is the same Paypal say it's been delivered. yes it's been delivered but to a different house but becasue the postcodes are the same Paypal accept that.

paypal tend to alwasy believe the buyer- they are the scum of the earth

expatinscotland · 01/04/2009 20:10

That's true, Fiona. I got screwed by a buyer. It was only for £13 and I got it back by raising almighty hell with PayPal, but I never sold on Ebay again.

Too many piss-takers and thieves.

Paypal always take the side of the buyer.. but I'm not sure if they would take in the ++ feedback into account?

Tortoise · 01/04/2009 20:14

Surely if she has already left great feedback then she can't make a claim for it? Wouldn't have left the feedback if it was broken.

expatinscotland · 01/04/2009 20:16

True, Turqoise.

expatinscotland · 01/04/2009 20:16

Sorry, turtoise.

Hopefully you saved the communication in which she admitted to tampering with the product.

Fionafly · 02/04/2009 07:57

The problem with paypal is that their requests for a response for you are very one-sided towards them. They are scum of the highest order

Saltire · 02/04/2009 08:11

I find with paypal that the seller doesn't get the chance to put forward the whole of their side. They always rule in favour of teh buyer. print off copies of all teh correspondance you have, including the one where she says her husband unscrewed it (why would he do that?), and tell her/paypal that you are putting in a counter claim because she damaged the goods and therefore you cannot re-sell them

Babywhiting · 03/04/2009 14:27

thanks have emailed ebay and told them of the problem so fingers crossed all will be solved!!!!
