Handing over account details?

I have a buyer who has spent £24 on a couple of items I'm selling, but has no feedback whatsoever. It turns out that he is from Belgium, and after buying he sent me a message to say that paypal wasn't accepting his brother's visa card, so would I pass on my account details.

I don't know what to do? He says that I won't risk anything if I pass on my account details for a direct payment, and that's probably true, but still I feel uneasy. At teh same time, these items sold for a good price and I don't want to have to relist if I can help it.

He is clearly new to ebay and hasn't got paypal set up correctly yet. Is there any other way I could receive a safe international payment?

No, put the onus on him to get sorted out with paypal and maybe just tell him you are prepared to wait until he has done this.

If you have given your bank details to someone I would be concerned that you wouldn't be covered if they then used them fraudently.

I would never give over my bank details even more so to someone with zero feedback.
I would tell him to contact paypal to sort out issues and give him a period of time to do so before doing second chance offer!

Don't give them - do you remeber the experiment that famous bloke did (I am thinking Clarkson or Ross but could be very wrong) He gave out his details to prove that it was safe. Someone managed to set up a direct debit on his account with very little trouble.

It is their problem to resolve, tell them to sort it out another way (cheque?) or you will open a dispute and relist.
