If I open a mutually agreed dispute.....

Can the buyer still leave FB?

If you saw my other post you'll see I'm getting mucked about by a buyer.

The lastest is they were meant to collect today but had an email saying their car won't start & could I deliver it to them (they are a 2 hour drive away & the item was listed as pick up only)

So I doubt very much they want it & I had a funny feeling from the beginning.

So if I open a mutually agree to withdraw dispute (once I've discussed this with them of course) can they still leave FB?

I just don't want a neg & have a feeling they are going to cause me probs.

That doesn't really help tbh - I just need to know if he will still be able to leave FB if I refund then open a mutually agreed as I really don't want a neg (even though I have done nothing wrong but it seems every eejit on Ebay is leaving neg for unvalid reasons just because they can)

MrsMagoo, sorry I can't halp you with your Q but I was wondering if you could help me with mine here? I would be interested in getting a sellers POV as I am trying to be fair and it is not easy! (not all the info is in the op though, some is further down sorry!)

OK, what about this

It seems you both still have the option of feedback after mutually withdrawing but this post was from July last year so may be worth checking on, I couldn't find anything more recent. It might be worth posting same question over on that site, you'd get a quick response.

Good luck.

LilySwalLoosHerTurkeyBaster · 21/12/2008 20:37

yes they can leave feedback if you mutually withdraw.

sarah573 · 21/12/2008 22:13

Yes they can still neg you.

What I would do - nice chatty email, saying that you know what a busy time of year this is, they are obviously having trouble making the collection etc etc, and would they rather not complete the transaction? You'll understand , and will cancel the transaction though ebay - no hard feelings - blar blar blar, merry xmas and all that.

I know its a pain and THEY deserve the neg, but unfortunatelty your best bet of not getting one yourself (not that Im suggesting you deserve it), is just to let them bail out with a (forced) smile.

This is what I though - poop!

The last email I recieved from them as about 2pm yesterday

I have emailed & asked if they would still like to collect or if they would prefer me to refund & heard nothing back.

I have the distinct impression they had no intention of collecting it all along & had been hoping from day 1 I would deliver.
