I bought an item on 23rd November. On the 26th the buyer emailed to say the item had been posted that morning. A few days later I emailed her to let her know it had not arrived, she said it had been posted 2nd class and that she would follow it up wiht the PO if it had not arrived by that Friday. It didn't.
It all seems 'down the line', she has been very pleasant and prompt in replying to emails but I still don't have the item yet.
First time this has happened to me so not quite sure what to do next.

Ask her for a refund and for her to claim from the po. I think you have to fill something in saying you haven't recieved item which you can let her know you are happy to do.

How long do i have to wait before i can do this? Does it have tp be lost for a certain length of time before she has to refiund?

She has 14/15 days from sending item before she can make a claim with royal mail so you are right to ask now!

I guess it's working days so Ill need to wait until Friday?

This has happened to us recently except we posted an item that hasn't arrived. I don't think it's to you though as we posted first class and we have refunded the buyer. I went to the PO and was given a form to fill in but was told that nothing will be done until it is 15days late.

Now we don't know whether the item ever arrived or not.

Hope you get your item.

me too thatsnotmymonster, i really want it!

It must be harder to be the seller because its such a trust thing. I always use 'signed for' now, just in case.

We are always going to use 'signed for' from now on.

It is such a trust thing and I don't want to think the worst. I also feel really sorry for the buyer- it was a baby sling and she wanted it for a holiday. It didn't arrive on time which was bad enough but it has never arrived. We refunded after about 9 days as she was asking and it seemed bad etiquette to refuse. We will just have to hope that they find the item or we get the insurance.

Have you decided which kitchen yet?

Tobermory · 08/12/2008 22:38

I My DD would REALLY like the JL one, but maybe it's not to be! So , in short, no!

I LOVE the JL one too. I swore I would never buy my dc's a kitchen and i have caved! My mum is going halvers as her present to dd, otherwise I could not have justified it.
