oh I'm very sad - I use Andale listings for my counters, and as well as always having a MN tab open, I always have the counter page open and refresh reguarly through the day from the day the auction starts .

When it's finish day/time it's almost constant . I'm hoping so - it's a huge pile of music, 4 watchers so far, but collection only (if you saw the picture you'd understand why - they fill 2 cardboard boxes, but have said I'll put them into 3 boxes for the winning bidder to make it easier for them to carry/transport ) so hopefully that won't put too many people off............personally I think if it goes for close to the starting price they'll have got a bloody bargain - I could probably sell some of the individual bits for £4/5 each (at least) - but I really don't have the time or inclincation to go through the entire pile and list in smaller bundles and I want it gone so don't really care

Okay could someone please expain watchers and things to me?

My item ends on Tuesday at about 4pm (i KNow bad time but I didnt know that at the time) my buggysnuggle is only at £5.50 and I only have 3 bids and 10 watchers, is this good or bad ? Totally confused.

Sorry for being thick.

jingleMAMADIVAsbells · 29/11/2008 10:20

Ooh ooh no in the last minute went up to £11

goldFAQinsenceandmyrrh · 29/11/2008 10:45

10 watchers is good. Watchers are people that have "bookmarked" (for want of a better expression) your item so they can keep an eye on it without having to search for it again. It could be because they have something similar they want to sell and are watching yours to see how much it goes for before putting their item on, or it could be they're thinking of perhaps bidding closer to the finishing time.

blueshoes · 29/11/2008 14:15

mamadiva, 10 watchers with 3 days to run is good going IMO. And you have already reached your original starting price (phew!). Bidder 2 has clearly put a high-ish maximum bid which Bidder 3 was trying to break but decided to back out. To get a good price, you need at least 2 bidders with high maximum bids. Hoping one of the 10 watchers will do it for you.

Still got the weekend to run. Fingers crossed.

I know blueshoes is very exciting isnt it?

Wonder what else I can sell?

jingleMAMADIVAsbells · 01/12/2008 07:41

Ooh I am very very pleased!!!

Buggysnuggle is at... £21 Saying that for all I've used it it's still a bargain!

It ends at about 4pm today, daft question. Do I have to be online when it ends to send the invoice thing or does it do it autmoatically?

blueshoes · 01/12/2008 09:22

Hi mamadiva, good going! I think £21 is about the right selling price, if I recall from previous completed listings ...

You don't have to be there when the auction ends. The buyer should know that they have to make payment because the winning bidder will get an email from eBay saying they have won the item.

Although some sellers send out invoices immediately after auction end, I don't usually send out invoices until about two days and the buyer has still not made payment. In this way, my invoice acts like a gentle reminder. But it is up to you.

jingleMAMADIVAsbells · 01/12/2008 09:25

Aah that sounds like it makes sense blueshoes. Will do that with the invoice I think.

Thanks for all your help with this me being the technophob I am

Im getting there! LOL.
