I won a lime green bumbo 2/3 days ago & paid immediately via Paypal.

Today I recieved this email from Ebay....

Dear mrs-magooo,

Please be aware that the following listing:

170278410206 - Baby Bumbo seat in lime green Excellent Condition

has been removed by eBay for breaching of one or more of our policies. Any offers or bids placed on this listing are now null and void. We advise you not to finalise this transaction with the seller. As stated in the eBay User Agreement, neither seller nor buyer should engage in transactions that breach the law or eBay policy.

Regards,

eBay Trust & Safety

The seller is now showing as 'no longer registered'

She had very little feedback but was all positve & shes sold loads over the last few days.

I phoned Ebay who said they don't know it's been removed & all I can is open a claim with Paypal to get my money back.

The item is no longer showing in my won items.

I'm so gutted as really wanted a lime green Bumbo & thought I'd gotten my hands on one.

I can't open the claim for another 7 working days

So what happens now & why do you think it's been removed?? Also why remove it after it's been completed??

Just to add I emailed the seller & she has actually replied to me saying she's posted it today via RM standard parcels - I can but hope

I had one of these a while back, I like you had already paid for the item and the item had been delivered before I received the email from Ebay.
I was quite happy with my item so just ignored the email

Wait and see whether the buggy turns up, and you cannot open a claim for 7 days, so if it turns up you have your nice lime buggy, if it doesn't you can claim your money back from paypal.

Hopefully she's being honest and it will turn up.

Ebay remove people and all their auctions for a number of reasons, if you search on the ebay help page it should give you some of the reasons.

she could have had her account hijacked after she sold it and they've just suspended everything just in case? She may not have paid her ebay fees?

MrsMagooo · 20/11/2008 18:00

Thanks both,

She's replied to both my emails & says that Ebay have linked to her another account that has been suspended but she knows nothing about this other seller & she is waiting to hear back from Ebay support.

Stragely enough just been chatting to a friend who alos won an item from her & the sellers been in touch with her too.

Fingers crossed she's as genuine as she seems!!

Don't panic! A similar thing happened to me, but I was the seller. I has sneakily copied the wording from someone else's listing (that had alreasy finished and sold). My item sold and was paid for by the buyer. In the meantime, someone had reported to Ebay that the listing had copied wording so they erased it and gave me my listing fees back. Because the buyer had already paid, I had her details and sent the item off. I did email her to tell her what had happened. All was fine.

MrsMagooo · 20/11/2008 18:24

Thanks for that wot- the only thing that's making me extra nervous is that she's now no longer a registered user - just got to sit it out & hope for the best!

Yes, I shall keep my fingers crossed too. It may be that it's all a mistake. What was her feedback number?

MrsMagooo · 20/11/2008 18:36

Her feedback was only at 11, 10 for buying 1 for selling but all posstive. I checked her out on goofbay & she's sold loads of baby stuff (loads of prams, 3 bumbos including mine, bouncers etc etc) in the last few days....

I'm really hoping it's all a mistake & my lush lime green bumbo will arrive!! She said she posted it today via RM parcels so have to allow 3-5 working days at least!

Could you open a Paypal dispute as a precaution, and tell you are just covering your back, and will close it as soon as the item arrives?

MrsMagooo · 20/11/2008 19:22

Nope, as can only open a 'item not recieved' dispute & you have to allow 7-10 working days from the date payment was made

If it was posted today then in theory it should be reach me by Wednesday at the latest so if it's not arrived by then will open a dispute

OP posts:
wotulookinat · 23/11/2008 18:28

Hope it arrives tomorrow for you

MrsMagooo · 23/11/2008 19:47

The latest is I recieved an email from Paypal saying the item will be posted by Paypal postage with Royal Mail & the only way that email is generated is when postage is paid for on Paypal & the address label printed off so it's looking pretty genuine!

wotulookinat · 24/11/2008 11:47

That's good news.

MrsMagooo · 27/11/2008 18:42

It arrived on Monday just as described so I am one very happy bunny!

Poor lady is still having problems though!
