How much is reasonable to add on top of the Courier charge??

Someone had bid on a mirror I'm selling (finished tomorrow night) , I had it as collection only, but he sent me an email asking if I would consider sending if via courier to him. I replied to say yes I'd look into the costs for him and let him know - literally minutes later he bid on it (without even knowing the costs!!).

Anyhow, I've looked into it and found I can get it Courier for £6.50 - obviously I'll need to wrap it well (bubble wrap etc) - but not sure how much to add onto the £6.50 without it sounding like I'm trying to fleece them (which I'm not!)

Would £8 be totally OTT - so £1.50 for the actual packaging (I currently have nothing suitable to wrap it with) - should I just add £1 (making postage £7.50) and cut my lossees on the price I'll have made from it (current bid is £10)

The main thing is to check if you need to pay more for insurance for a mirror - it may not automatically be covered.

£1 - £1.50 for packaging of this type of thing is fine.

Yes thats more than reasonable. Knowing the cost of bubble wrap etc I would be inclined to charge a bit more than that.

I think that def reasonable make sure it's wrapped really well as risk if it get's broke you will have to refund!
