I am selling a bit scalextric set on ebay. Its up for £50 starting price and has 5 watchers.

A woman has asked me if I will put a buy it now price on so I said £65.

So she replied and asked if I would take £65 with the p+p included....

does this mean she wants to pay £65 altogether for the set and the p+p or does she mean £65 + P&P?

MrsSnape personally I think the postage you currently have on (£12) is reasonable - there are idiots on Ebay who charge £30 postage via courier & think people will pay it!!

I use these guys it's £6.99 for DHL 48 hour delivery but every time I've used them they have delivered next day.

Re the BIN, I would probably add one to your listing, if that buyer has asked for one you can bet your bottom dollar someone else does too.

FWIW I don't think you're being "greedy" by wanting £65 plus the postage on top. The buyer asked for a BIN price, you gave it to them - if she doesn't want to pay that she doesn't have to, simple as.

Just looked at completed listings & one that had no controllers (just a tad vital with Scalextric) & a battered box went for £49.50 + postage so I think your BIN was fair.

Well, I think that yes, you can get cheaper postage, but considering what you see on ebay generally, yours is not prohibitively high.

If you search completed listings for the same item, you will see that 3 went for £112, £72 and £49. The more expensive 2 were in pristine condition and the other one had no pieces missing.

It's a bit of a gamble, you might get more for it, but it might not sell.

I would offer her £70 including postage and see what she says.

paypal allow you to use parcelforce 48 for £10.99 spec deal with eBay and parcelforce
Or standard parcels reasonable too
Let it go
Elmo sounds like the bidder tbh
Greedy
It's your bloody item
Bet it goes for loads more
Be cynical
I'm listing a few bugaboo prams bits honestly never had so many try it on thinking I'm wet behind the ears

Also, a pp said it's not a good time of year to sell - wrong! From Sept onwards is the best time of year for Ebay as people spending towards Christmas tend to overspend (it's after Christmas that everyone tightens their belts) and in current economic climate looking to buy things second hand or get bargains rather than use the high street/online shops.
