I've got a load of stuff listed on ebay for sale and I didn't expect to sell any of it (first time seller)...anyway most of it has been bidded on and two of them end in 4 hours.

How do I package:

DVDs (I'm assuming just a brown jiffy envelope?)

A small tracksuit (lightweight, fits a 6 year old so not huge either).

Thanks for any info.

Don't Argos do a kit especially for ebay veterans?

MrsSnape · 03/07/2008 09:59

YOur local poundshop will supply jiffybags v cheaply as well as a roll or two of brown tape. The post office does special strong polythene posting bags for clothes but TBH a carrier bag inside a jiffy bag is fine.

bubblagirl · 03/07/2008 10:12

i use carrier bag then brown paper and just put lots of brown tape so unable to be ripped or ruined pound store again and wilkinsons all do these things very cheap

to be honest as long as package is wrapped properly no way of it being opened by anyone else most buyers would be happy with however you package it have been known myself to use black bag cut up into appropiate size taped loads as it is water proof and safe

be careful with DVDs - I have received them in just a jiffy bag and nearly always the case has been broken in the post. bubble wrap and cardboard would be better.
Don't over tape the packages, especially if it's a breakable item. removing a mile of tape can break the item in the process. I have received some items that have been totally covered in tape and it's impossible to to get into.

Bubble wrap from veggie section at supermarkets, brown paper from ikea

Hey

The Poundland here sells jiffy bags in all sizes, paper, tape and anything else you may need for a lot less expensive than the PO, or any stationary store. I am guessing most poundshops will do the same.
You can get boxes for CDs, little carboard pop up things. I always used them to send to people when i was at college, but i always got them from the college store so i'm not sure where you get them from.
I have to admit always keeping bubblewrap and any good packaging people send me things in and reusing them when i sell stuff.

I use [[http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20-PINK-MIXED-POSTAGE-MAIL-POST-MAILING-PARCEL-BAGS_W0QQitemZ330248563770QQi hZ014QQcategoryZ78042QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp1742.m153.l1262 these] and these so easy & keeps everything nice & dry!

I buy jiffy envelopes from my local pound shop for items such as DVDs.

Xx
