half price listing day tomorrow, isn't it?
bung em all on!

FAQ · 28/05/2008 11:27

is that all?? I've got (so far) 22 boxes of stuff to sell either ebay or carboots!!!! (and I haven't finished the boys room yet, or the shed......)

misdee · 28/05/2008 11:27

5p listing tomorrow.

i have a stack of stuff here as well.

FAQ · 28/05/2008 11:29

but on 5p listing days EVERYONE is listing stuff, so there's more stuff ending at the same time/same day as yours so potentially less money to be paid as there's more competition

saltire · 28/05/2008 11:29

22 boxes . I could probably find a bit more if I tried. That 30 items is jsut clothes of mine that either don't fit or I ahve worn once and never again, and books

i'm putting them up o na 10 day auction though. so finish next weekend. most wil lbe them on 3 or 5 days.

FAQ · 28/05/2008 11:31

yep 22 boxes and counting LOL.

I'm sure the neighbours must think I'm moving house the number of empty boxes I've been getting from the local corner shop

FAQ · 28/05/2008 11:32

haven't sorted the boys book shelf yet - but 4 (or is it 5? can't remember now) boxes of books of my stuff - and I've still got an entire bookcase full LOL

saltire · 28/05/2008 11:55

With the boys bookshelves though a lot fo the books they still read, and the others have huge messages written in by my mother!
I don't think someone would one of those.
I also need to get into Dhs stuff and see what he has
I might list some today and some tomorrow all finishing at different days

lots of books on my boys shelf are rather girly - lots of my old books lol. I've sold some in the past that have huge message written in the front they've sold without any problem.

FAQ · 28/05/2008 12:16

I'm probably not going to list my stuff on ebay - really can't be bothered with the whole getting into town to post it thing - just going to do some carboots.

saltire · 28/05/2008 12:25

Lapin baby/toddl/chidlren's clothes can sell well in bundels more if they are names such as NEXT,Gap> Monsoon Boden etc.
Ladies shoes can sell well, again depending on condition.
Thing to do is go into ebay and have a look and see what similar items sell for.

There is nothing as refreshing as a good clear-out. I gave 180 items of clothing, nine towels and five packs of nappies DD grew out of before I had a chance to use them to the earthquake relief programme yesterday (I know this because the guy stood in the hall and counted them so he could give me a receipt).

Ah, I am in Shanghai so I am not sure about whether there are agencies taking things from the UK. This was a local university doing the collection - I think they're just going to hire some lorries and drive it all down to Sichuan. The footage is still shockingly grim - I would say tents, plastic sheeting and tarpaulins, towels and bedding would be gratefully received.

The Red Cross were quite high-handed about only wanting cash but it didn't take long to find a charity that would take goods. Hopefully there are similar charities in Britain.

That's ok, no reason why you would!

I am sorely tempted to get on a plane to LA so I can punch Sharon Stone in the face. She's said the earthquake was China's karma for being "not nice to the Dalai Lama". 60,000 dead people and some old woman famous for showing her flaps 20 years ago can't resist a flakey press conference.

Would a local women's refuge take the duvets?
