pleas bear with me I AM FED UP !

cos increasingly people pull the item not received rubbish I am finding (as are others I talk to) and then you have to refund in order to hopefully retain good feedback......and chase up royal mail yourself in the hope that the person signs the form they send them (if they can be bothered).

The worst bit is often its only a few days since the item has been sent so its prob not even lost in the blardy post and the buyer is getting all snippy [grr]

what a farce! I think some people are just at it and want the item AND A REFUND TOO!!! grrrr

I notice increasingly to myself and others that I talk to that people are doing this and when the feedback system changes it will be EVEN WORSE. Buyers will do what they want with no worry of neg feedback .

I always get proof of postage , would buying recorded make any diff atall???? As i have heard often that the parcels arent even necessarily signed for.

grrrr.......

and paypal almost always find in buyers favour in non delivery cases... You need not just proof of posting but proof of delivery. If rec del parcels goes astray... You are still liable. Tis bad indeed

CarGirl · 19/04/2008 20:14

we send everything recorded because paypal ask for proof of delivery not proof of postage.

mumofdjandbabies · 19/04/2008 20:23

ah gotcha so its proof of delivery but isnt recorded meant to be pants - I mean often they dont make you sign for it?

but in that case you will get your money back from royal mail, it's all about covering your back.

Piffle · 19/04/2008 20:29

but for items over £34.00 in value what can you do?

CarGirl · 19/04/2008 20:42

pay the extra insurance

Piffle · 19/04/2008 20:46

um can you buy extra insurance for non recorded items?

CarGirl · 19/04/2008 20:48

no you have to use special delivery next day, standard parcels with enhanced or use a courier.

mumofdjandbabies · 19/04/2008 20:51

tis so hard calculating what an item will reach in final price though butcslways use special delivery for items obv over £30

am currently in dispute with seller for items worth £100 he sent 1st class - large item took proof of posting etc but no item 4 wkd on. He said he would claim with RM but that's £34 back at the most!!
so have lodged paypal dispute as seller not communicating since minute I asked about compensation/refund.
dunno what will happen. Guy should have used parcelforce Christ knows paid enough postage for it
