EBay forcing Payoneer account but I'm not a business seller

I must be stupid because I find listing on eBay frustrating, at best. My primary eBay account is used 100% for purchases. Have had this account for ten years.

Currently trying to sell furniture from our home.
Cash payment upon collection.
EBay is forcing me to have a Payoneer account. I'm not a business seller.

Is there an uncomplicated way of selling for non-professionals that I'm just not aware of?

I wouldn’t use eBay for selling unless I was selling things in large volumes.

Facebook marketplace is probably better for stuff like this

Gumtree is good for local cash-on-collection selling.

Soft furnishings have very very low value 2nd hand. When we tried to sell an old sofa and needed it gone to make room for the new, we didn't even get takers when we listed as free. We finally got rid of it when advertised as free + comes with free beer. There are just so many 2nd hand sofas that the market is flooded. There are way way more people wanting to get rid of an old sofa and avoid the £25 bulky waste disposal charge than there are people who want a 2nd hand sofa.

Tables and chairs and storage furniture like bookcases and cabinets sell ok though

I'm just selling our sofa and dining table. They're from Heal's and Habitat. Problem with Gumtree is I'd have to sell them at ridiculously low prices. But mostly I don't have the patience for the time wasters.

You'll get almost nothing for them wherever you sell

You would indeed have to sell them for ridiculously low prices. That's all they're worth. Why would any buyer drop £200 for a 2nd hand sofa when there's dozens being given away for free, or for £20? Them being from Heals/Habitat won't make a difference.

Not completely true.

Sofas tend not to make much unless they are nice Leather pieces. However dining room tables generally make a fair price if they are real wood. People tend not to buy second hand sofas.

There is not much benefit in selling on Ebay over Marketplace for logistical reasons. Any buyer will still need to live close in order to collect it.

Put them both on Market place with good photos and most importantly THE DIMENSIONS and they will sell. Make it clear that they are for collection only and ignore any silly questions.

Are they MCM? Try selling on a vintage MCM group on FB eg https://www.facebook.com/groups/1478025805802995/

If not sell on a specific local group to you
