this bumbo? Considering the seller is charging quite a bit for p+p and there's absolutely no description of the condition and not even a proper photo of the one they're selling?
It just seemed a bit shady to me, they could've put something about the condition of it.
(I'm just checking what bumbo's are going for to see how I should list mine.)

perfect condition? thats what it says....

Lollypopzmummy · 21/03/2008 17:22

Would you trust it without a proper photo though?

It says perfect condition so weather there is a photo or not if it turns up & is not pefect condition then you can ask for a refund so yes i would trust it without an actual photo, not everyone has there own digi cam!

Hm, I specifically didn't buy a bumbo from Ebay because they're apparently so indestructible I was convinced people were selling them as brand new when they weren't, plus there wasn't much of a saving in it. So, in a roundabout fashion, I would trust that listing cos there's not an awful lot that can go wrong with a bumbo.

Oh you'd be surprised! I went into Mothercare and asked if they'd do a discount on a display one, had a look at it and it was really faded and yellow (I know it's not dirty or anything but it looked horrible!) guess what discount they offered. . . £5 off, for a bumbo that looked like it had been shat on! lol

This, I suppose, is the only reason I'm suspicious, it might be really discoloured or something and look terrible and you'd end up paying only a few quid less than if you'd have bought it new in a shop.

Although, I do understand that some people may not have a camera but they could note it in the description etc. I always try and give as much info as possible if I'm selling (not a professional seller obviously) but it just looked like the person selling this couldn't be bothered (or had something to hide) but it amazed me that the bidding went so high in the end, that's all.

They have good feedback, I would buy it if I wanted one but only at a price I wanted to pay.

I've used a stock photo before because I was listing in a hurry and didn't have time to take a decent photo. Don't really think there was much more they could have said about it really.

I was really mithered about buying a bumbo off ebay. None of them really seemed like reasonable prices. They seemed almost as much a s full price, although they looked in great condition and i cant imagine one could really get 'worn' as such.

In the end i went to Mothercare a couple of wks ago to buy a new one but ended up getting a BEBE POD which is basically the same thing but it was cheaper and also reduced by about £8!

Lollypopzmummy · 21/03/2008 23:02

Ooh I saw the prince lion heart thingys, they looked really cute too (but I think they're more expensive).
Didn't see a beb pod in our one (quite small store though).

Is a prince lion heart a beb pod? I just looked on Ebay
They were more expensive in our Mothercare, what's that all about?!

yes the Prince Lionheart is bebepod!

Full price in our Mothercare was £27 i think and the bumbo was £30. There were a few in the sale, just the lemon coloured ones(wasnt bothered about the colour) and i got it for £20 i think. They seem exactly the same as the bumbo's to me and it is doing the job ok

Lollypopzmummy · 22/03/2008 10:42

Wow! They're going for £35 plus on Ebay at the moment!
