Hi, I normally recycle packing materials and have been very fortunate to be offered packing peanuts and bubble wrap. But I am now selling more fragile items and need to be able to pack bomb-proof. Can anyone recommend good suppliers of packing materials? ie not tiny little rolls of bubblewrap! Thanks

When we moved I bought a huge roll of bubble wrap and 500 sheets of brown paper from Amazon. Very reasonable.

For extra packing I use delivery boxes from a friends shop.

They always have sturdy boxes from wholesalers, plus extra padding etc - they often have semi shredded inserts which are packaging boxes that the wholesaler has received and recycled into

I’ll use some of their smaller inner boxes when they fit, and cut up the larger outter boxes for strong packaging

Put up a wanted post on a local Facebook etc or ask at local shops. An ‘independant’ retailer is a good source when the timing is right between receiving delivery and their commercial recycling collection

I bought some china and was impressed by the seller’s care and the shockproof packaging. I think it was ‘inflatable columns’ or ‘inflatable pockets’. Not the cheapest option, but kept the items safe. I suppose it depends on the value of the item, but it’s worth paying for decent packaging. I was able to reuse them, sending a fragile item.

Google ‘inflatable anti-shock packaging’ and you will see lots of options. 😀
