just sold 2 items on ebay, a raincover and a kiddies shirt the shirt sold for 99p and the raincover 12.50 with 3.00 postage. (which i under estamated) now the stupid woman has said she is refusing to pay the postage for the shirt, cause she wants them to posted together. i had the postage for the shirt a 3.00 also standard sellers rate on the account, the shirt cost me 25p to list and then there is the pp fees and the selling fees on ebay. if i let her not pay the postage its going to cost me to sell her my stuff. any ideas please. i have explained all this to her but she hasnt replied to emails ive sent. should i just forget the selling to her and relist or how long do i have to wait.
thanks

You can't cover your fees in postage, so that wasn't the best thing to have said, but you are allowed to include a reasonable handling fee. £3 for a shirt still seems a little bit high. I would send her an invoice, with combined postage for both at say £4.50 and if she doesn't pay that then file for NPB.
It's not her fault that you underestimated the postage on the raincover, and you can't very well expect her to pay £3 each for the items and then post them together.

if she had asked me in the first place i probley would have put the postage together, at some discount but it was just i wasnt asked, but i see what you mean thanks

Work out how much it costs to post them together and charge her that. That would be fair.

if she didn't get you to agree to reduced postage to start with she is supposed to pay you the full amount as you listed them

debbie102 · 13/03/2008 13:13

thanks, all, i do agree it would have been nice to have been asked bout the postage and it was my fault i under estimated, looks like shes not gonna pay anyway , i emailed her saying il reduce the postage but still no reply
thanks again

you can offer to reduce the postage out of goodwill, but as she didn't ask prior to bidding you are under no obligation.

If you sell 2 items to one buyer and don't combine the invoice then you have to send out in two parcels.
