just purchased this product assuming it was all i needed to fix a small crack in my wondscreen. Have had an email from seller saying unless i already had the fix kit which he sells for £15.99 then the resin was useless and that he will only refund payment for this purchase AFTER i have purchased the full kit.

I cant see anything on the listing that says i need anything else to fix the window and it doesnt state it is a refill or add on to the kit does it??????????

I can see how you made the mistake. The listing is a bit ambiguous.

bonkerz · 03/01/2008 21:49

thanks. so what should i do? HAve emailed seller and he said unless i buy full kit i cant have a refund. Should i report for being unclear?

I'm not sure if Ebay will do anything about it. He hasn't actually made any claims about the resin being 'all you need' or anything like that, but there's no harm in giving it a try.

Ebay are notorious for being spectacularly bad at responding to any kind of contact though. If I were you, I'd probably just leave him some really bad feedback and chalk it up to experience.

Hi - Very cross on your behalf!!

I think he is in the wrong - I thought I'd seen something in Ebay listing rules. I've just pasted thissee bit) I may attempt a link!! Or am I too late - I was just looking at this guy's fb and one neg was simply "crap" !!!

Actions that avoid paying eBay fees ? Selling fees help eBay support both buyers and sellers. Listing practices that circumvent (avoid) fees are unfair to sellers who pay the appropriate eBay fees and may provide a poor buying experience.

Examples of listing practices that are not allowed on eBay include:

Offering the opportunity to buy the listed item or other items outside the eBay online marketplace.

Offering low item prices but unreasonably high postage or packing charges.

Listing an item that requires an additional purchase*

Including contact information (eg, email addresses, domain names, phone numbers) in the listing title, subtitle, item location or images.

Listing an item where a seller allows buyers to choose from a selection of items.
Hopee this helps :-)

you are not allowed to sell items on ebay that require an additinal purchase to be useable as far as im aware should be somewhere in the help section.

winestein · 04/01/2008 15:49

You need to go through the dispute process with both Ebay and Paypal. Start it with Ebay in that it was not as described (i.e. could not be used). Raise it with Paypal and escalate it to claim your money back.

thanks guys. I emailed ebay this morning and they are sorting it.
