Bought a couple of things for my dd off ebay ages ago, waited a month then seller refunded me as they hadn't arrived. Went to pick up a parcel today and the guy said 'this ones been here ages' and gave me another one. Opened it up and it was said items, dp said I should re-send money.

HOWEVER! First item was described as 12 months and it is so tiny! My dd is quite small as well but it looks like the size for a 6 month old so it has went straight in the charity shop bundle. The other item was a fur coat which is nice, but covered/matted with orange marks (looks like some sort of food, nice!). Yet to see if they come out in the wash. I said to dp that I'd feel as though I'd been conned if I re-sent the money for a dress much smaller than stated and for a dirty coat.

What would other do? Am I being mean?

Sizes, you said its been there ages.

dp is right.

Sorry, but you bought the things and they got to you.

Would you have asked for refund because of the coats condition? That's different.

Also the infant clothes, I have bought things and sizes weren't suitable. I sold them on ebay again.

Return the stuff so she can resell it.

You'd feel connned?

Seller has refunded money and not got item, you've had both.

What Hatrick said.

Item has been there 4 weeks, not six months!!! There is no way that dd would have fit into it in anytime over the past 4 months at least.

And tbh yes I would have asked for a refund for the jacket as it is really dirty. This might make me sound even worse but I grudge paying the £2 from my own pocket to send a dirty coat back. I wouldn't dare send anything to a buyer with food all over it. Oh well maybe I'm just a bad person god forbid

Seller was making a claim from Royal Mail so think I will email and ask how she got on with that first, then at least if she got her money back from that I can sleep tonight

If not then I can tell her the things came but I'm not happy with them for the reasons above and see what she says.

She was making the claim a couple of weeks back, the parcel was at the sorting office and there had been no card left through my door. If she has already been refunded it can't be fraud as it was undelivered.

Just sent her a message just now, I still think that if she has already had her money from Royal Mail then it would be easier giving them into the charity shop. If not then I will respond saying that I'm not happy, and if she's willing to pay postage cost then I will pop them in the post.

If she makes a claim, (and it does take a while), then you will receive a form to fill in and sign, stating that you haven't received the parcel.

If you you say you have received it you will feel very embarrassed and the seller will not get her money back.

If you say you haven't received it....and you sign the RM form.......

the seller has been good enough to refund you, she at least deserves her items back.

the dirty coat and dress sizing are a different matter, but if you are returning them anyway.....
