Warning: prom/bridal/ball gowns

I recently bought a ball gown from a certain dress-mary, transaction went Ok, very quick delivery, but when it got here it was a completely different colour (it was meant to be a sort of sunrise effect, like red shading up to gold but is in fact BRIGHT ORANGE! No shading or anything just ORANGE, I'd look like a freaking pumpkin in it!)
Anyway have tried to resolve, even offered to pay extra postage for the real thing as it was such a gorgeous dress but have now had to resort to a Paypal dispute as the seller is saying that it is the dress in the picture (despite me having taken a photo and Emailed it to them next to the original pi!)

So, juat a warning to all those out there wanting something nice for Xmas, buy it on the high street! No dissappointments there LOL

and if anyone wants a fab black ball gown with silver sequins in a size 8-10 let me know as my sister is desperate to seel one she has never worn.

cost her £350 and its gettign in her way.

Didn't get a refund (and looking back on the Emails they never actually offered me one, "please send the item back" was the actual statements!)

Anyway, I did a Paypal dispute and they replied to that a bit smartish but instead of me having to fork out more postage to send the blooming thing back (not to mention the fact that they charged me £12 p+p in the first place to cover their own shipping costs from China where they got their stock, doubt V mush it cost each item £12 as they've obviously bought in bulk!) so have decided to keep it and just pay for some extra fabric and fix it myself, I've got 6 or 7 months to do it.

They are now asking me to withdraw my negative feedback though, does anyone have an opinion on whether I should or not?
Personnaly, thinking about the disappointment and the fact that they didn't actually offer me a refund (just that they would accept it back ) I don't think I should withdraw it, might mull it over for a couple of days first and see how I feel about it all after the weekend.

Mamazon if I even thoguth I'd lose enough weight to ever get into a size 8-10 I might have considered that gown for this Masque ball! (It's a bit of a Gothic bananzaaaaa! LOL) But even then I can't afford it, so good thing I'm not a size 8-10 then LOL

you can't withdraw feedback anyway - so I'd just forget about it

You can go through a mutual withdrawal of feedback if they have also left feedback.

Have done it once when I got a neg for an item not received and then buyer saw her other half had signed for it. I left her a positive and then asked for a mutual withdrawal of feedback. This removes the negative mark but not the comments.

As a seller who competes with cheap China imports, I do have a smirk on my face. Sorry

I'm a dressmaker but just knew I could get a gown cheaper on Ebay than having to spend the next 6/7 months trying to juggle the 2 LO's and making a gown for myself LOL The whole thing has taught me to be V cautious.

I've emailed them and said that I'll sort the feedback after the weekend, this'll give me a bit of time to think about whether or not I want to withdraw it, I don't really want to as the whole thing was a negative expierience so. . . it would have to be a negative feedback for them either way, and the fact is that I now have to spend another £25 on the fabrics that I need to sort it out, not to mention time to fix it too!
Still mulling it over. . .
