Buyer wants me to post to an address which isn't their confirmed Paypal address...

...where do I stand? I have told them 3 times now that I will only send to the confirmed address and they are either deliberately avoiding the issue, or haven't noticed my question to them in the e-mails!

I have legitimately asked sellers to do this in the past when I have bought items on behalf of other (computerless) people. I prefer the seller to send the item direct to the person who I have bougbt it for rather than have to pay to send it on myself.

Lets hope that is what has happened here plus they don't check their email regularly

I've done it before, but have asked the seller before bidding. It's in the same town both of the addresses. I'm thinking the one they want me to send to is a work address. I don't mind where it goes, but will I be protected in the seller protection thingy?

Sorry I have no idea if the seller protection thingy will still be valid. I'm guessing not though kowing how these things are.

Hope someone more knowledgable comes along soon and gives you an answer. In the meantime this can be a 'bump' for you

I have asked for things to be sent to my work address, because it's a pain to get to the post office otherwise.

I don't know where you stand on the Paypal protection issue, but my gut feeling would be that it's not covered.

Have they got lots of great feedback? I am posting something to someone's work address this week, but only because she emailed me in advance, clearly REALLY wanted the item for hugely sentimental reasons and came across as an all-round civilised human being.

Sixlostmonkeys or Laura will come along in a bit to give you the final ruling.

You will not be eligible for paypal protection if you send to an alternative address.

If they had an unconfirmed paypal address and they sounded really really really genuine then I'd probably say, take the risk (as unconfirmed addresses don't offer the same protection anyway ) (I don't think...? Laura?)

But as it's confirmed, your protection is there and you should use it, especially as they aren't coming across as co-operative anyway.
