Getting a refund - should I get P&P as well?

I won a pair of trousers described as size 8-10, but they have arrived and they are actually a size 12.

I have emailed the seller and said I am happy to return them for a refund, and would like my P&P charges refunded too. Is this reasonable? Would you expect both lots of P&P to be refunded or just the initial cost?

Thanks for any advice - I can't find anything about this on the Ebay help pages, only stuff about disputes.

As they don't fit the description then yes I think you should get your P&P back, in this case i would expect return postage to be refunded, It would be different if you just didn't like them. Have they just sent you the wrong thing by mistake?

I would expect a full refund including P&P as she described them incorrectly.
Her fault.

yes, both lots of p+p, as she described them wrongly

you shouldn't be out of pocket on this at all, it was her mistake

Thanks for your quick replies, and for agreeing with me LOL!

As it was his/her mistake, I would expect both lots of P&P refunded really. They are the same trousers as in the photo so I think s/he just didn't check the label before listing.

the refund should be cost + p&p (ie what you paid in total).
A good seller should refund the return p&p - but if these cases end up going through a paypal dispute the buyer doesn't get the return p&p refunded.

Remember to return by trackable means - eg recorded delivery
