i have got a pushchair on ebay at the minute and someone has bid up to £71 so far for it. Trouble is, I have just checked their feedback and out of 25 transactions, on the 9th, 10th and 11th of August had 4 neg fb (from the same person) for non paying and the same on 16th sept 06, making their fb 93.1%. I don't know whether to cancel their bid or not. they have had 4 + fb since 11th aug, but nothing since 10th sept. hope all that makes sense!! What would you do? thanks in advance.

mm hard to say, think i'd leave it as it is. how long until the auction ends?

When does your auction end? Is it likely to go a lot higher? I would contact the bidder and ask about the -ve feedbacks. If they make prompt contact back, I would probably not cancel, but if they didn't respond, I'd cancel their bids. All depends on how long you've got left really.

Hello Angel,
Just caight sight of your Q. I got stung by a non-payer on Ebay a few months ago. I found it a hassle to follow the protocol: contact them to see it they're going to pay then contact the next highest bidder to see if they're still interested and leave negative feedback for the non-payer and then re-list the item. If I was in your shoes I wouldn't chance it and wouldn't wait. If your pushchair is getting bids someone else will buy it. The sooner you bin this bidder the more time other serious bidders will have to see your item and bid on it. Good luck .

PS: You could try saying: No offence intended but I have decided that my policy is not to take bids from people with a feedback score of less than 99%.

Theitr feedbackis still 93.1% and all the bad feedback was from the same seller suggesting it could be one transaction (eg a bul purchase of things paid for with a single cheque that went astray. My personal inclination would not be to cancel the bid, perhaps e-mail them and ask what the situation was with the negative feedback? But one transaction isnt huge cauise for concern- I have one negative feedback as well, it was when the work PC broke down many eyars ago and i didnt ahev home access, couldnt get in touch with seller- no negative intentions involved.

you could goofbay them and see what they have been bidding on recently - it may give you more of an idea as to whether they appear genuine
