Cardboard Book Wraps

I've just had a massive clear out of old books and need to purchase some books wraps (the amazon cardboard style I think) in order to try and sell some (the rest I'll give to charity). Anyone know where to buy at best value please?

This might be harder work than you want but could you get some free boxes from the shop/amazon orders etc and cut these down- use two pieces in a cross shape to 'wrap' round like the amazon ones do?

Yes, thank you bookish - a bit too much work at the moment. I have a pre-schooler who would want to join in with that too.

It sounded a lot of work to me! Just realised how much more expensive selling fees are now so last ebay selling I did I used all saved things from online shopping!

Amazon seem to be cheaper than Raja packaging. I'd also be tempted to use bubblewrap envelopes depending on the books. Not the most environmentally friendly but you would probably get a decent deal at a poundtype shop. Or even brown paper plus some bubble wrap

I did make a load using free boxes but it was a faff, I also had to buy double sided carpet tape to stick the two pieces together and there were loads of bits and dust left over.

I now use bubble wrap and a plastic mailer, I get a 100m roll of wrap for around £8 on Ebay (they might have gone up since I last bought one)

You'll need to consider postage as well. Many paperbacks/books are just too thick to qualify for large letter and thus will cost £3 to send if purchased on line.

We only use card (recycle from boxes) if flimsy paperbacks or international sales (get a lot more handling and, therefore, damage than UK parcels we have found). Otherwise bubble wrap and jiffy (type) bag work fine (we sell a lot of books) & cheaper too. If you do want to buy in bulk then priorydirect has quite good prices (do watch out for the postage though as can be quite hefty). Also several companies sell via ebay but avoid the ebay branded packaging as lower quality and more expensive than some.
