I'm thinking of bidding on this bundle of clothes for DS1 as there's loads, and they would be good for nursery etc BUT we're going away and will miss the end of the auction, so I'll need set up a 'sniper' bid now.
I've NO IDEA how much they might go for - any ideas?
What do you think would still be a 'good buy' e.g. £100?

i think just go slightly over as it would still work out a pound a piece for designer clothes maybe 120 tops if really wanting them

designer clothes of this amount would normally go between 80-120 as the amount there and still 4 days to go with it being nrearly 50 pound already

bubblagirl · 25/10/2007 11:27

just remember all designer so even that price to somebody have saved so much money so just think of the highest your willing to pay for so many items and stick to it anything even 150 is a bargain for this amount of designer items

laura032004 · 29/10/2007 11:25

Gosh, they're at £190 now!

exactly what i was thinking.

I might advertise dd's wardrobe as designer even though most is matalan/tesco

Do you think people don't read the details I think i'd be able to buy all those things new for £190

ebay hysteria, bidding fever. £205 - nah not worth that

omeN666 · 29/10/2007 15:33

surely everythign is 'designer'..lol
would never pay that much for what I wouldnt even class as particularly nice clothes

ScottishMummy · 29/10/2007 15:37

coming out in hives, gave about double that and very similar brands etc free to HV to give to someone who needs/appreciates it

MascaraOHara · 29/10/2007 15:51

blimey I've just given lots and lots of my dd's baby/toddler clothes away to charity shop.. wish I'd been as good at marketing!

Eddas · 29/10/2007 16:28

people go nuts on ebay, they buy stuff 2nd hand that you can buy new for less money, mental!

Mind you wouldn't mind if 'those' people bought my stuff

mental!mad!farking stoopid what some folk bid for a floridly described bundle of kids clothes

Lazarou · 29/10/2007 18:06

Jesus h corbett! I've got tons of stuff upstairs!

ScottishMummy · 29/10/2007 18:09

im gutted - all the baby clothes etc i gave away etc for free, nada, heehaw, diddly squat

Lazarou · 29/10/2007 18:13

Have to say though that I have bought bundles of clothes off ebay before and it is good value but ds hasn't really worn much of it. Some of it doesn't really fit him and some of it isn't suitable for the weather conditions. Probably better to just buy a few new things in the sale, plus the kids drawers barely close there's so much in them!

Remember though, many people prefer second hand for ethical reasons. If I were the seller I would be very pleased right now, as long as the winning bidder pays up.

Lazarou · 29/10/2007 23:10

Make sure you put stuff on over the weekend to catch people coming home drunk and putting reckless bids on things they don't need.
