as one of my buyers is. ive been polite, not pushy at all (its been a month now). item is still not paid for and im being completely ignored.

i can see they are still on buying and selling, their feedback is good.

surely he/she will get a strike? ffs...if you dont want to complete the transaction then SAY SO!!!

Very strange. Have you tried 'email a seller' on one of their auctions? Or post an item number, and I'll ask a random question to see if they reply.

Alethiometer · 15/10/2007 17:39

I wouldn't waste any more time on them.
You are very patient to wait as long as you have.
Start the non-paying bidder process, and let them respond via that - or not, as the case may be.

FrightOwl · 15/10/2007 17:53

i have started the non paying bidder, a week ago! still nothing! grrrr

I think you can close it yourself if they haven't responded after a week or 10 days.

Lazarou · 15/10/2007 17:59

You can get their phone number if you contact customer services.

FrightOwl · 15/10/2007 18:02

oh im not that bothered, it wasnt a huge amount. i'll close it, get my credits and relist. just cant understand why they'd rather get a strike/ruin their feedback than just say "sorry, ive changed my mind"!

the only reason I can think of is if their email filter is marking the stuff as spam somehow. I had one buyer swear they'd not received my emails but they did receive messages sent via Ebay (which, I guess, the NPB thing would have though!)

ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 15/10/2007 18:07

As the question on one of their active listings if they're selling

FrightOwl · 15/10/2007 18:12

i always send messages via ebay anyway as my registered email is rubbish with a tiny inbox!

Ask the question...

Have they maybe replied via email and it's got lost in your filter/overfull mail box?

FrightOwl · 15/10/2007 18:30

nope, cleared it all out before i started selling again, have checked every day. the only communication ive had was weeks ago when they asked for my address and that came through alright. they could respond through the dispute anyway if they thought their mails werent getting through, ive sent them about four polite messages through ebay since they won the item, surely common sense would tell them i wasn't receiving their mails if that was the case?

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/10/2007 18:34

If the dispute is open then they get a message window or something.

If they don't respond to the dispute they can't leave feedback.

FrightOwl · 15/10/2007 18:46

so i cant leave them feedback either?

OP posts:
sixlostmonkeys · 15/10/2007 19:37

yes, you can

FrightOwl · 16/10/2007 17:14

well guess what? the very moment i closed the dispute i got a message from them asking if i had received payment.

so they hadn't noticed my five or so messages and the dispute?

would it be...perchance...anything to do with the fact i can remove the strike . i wasnt aware of that, have never ended a dispute like this before.

OP posts:
ADragonIs4LifeNotJustHalloween · 16/10/2007 20:10

If they are unable to leave feedback, I'd ignore them and leave the strike in place.

FrightOwl · 07/11/2007 13:21

had to bump this again. after my last post i got several messages and emails from the buyer saying she'd been in hospital, friend posted the postal order etc and could she still have the item.

i politely told her no, that it was being relisted as i had been messed about enough and if i received the payment i would send it straight back. i saw her buying and selling during the time she was supposed to be in hospital so you cant tell me her friend wouldnt have seen and responded to the dispute. (if its true, which i doubt).

i have since relisted, sold and posted off the item. i now have a message from her asking where her item is and can i send her postal order back.

i dont have it!! i dont have the item!! i told her this, have told her again that there's nothng i can do.

this is the last thing i need at the moment

any advice? i have a feeling she is going to start hassling me now.

I think there is a way to block all messages from a particular person - Ill have a look

sixlostmonkeys · 07/11/2007 16:13

hmm seems you can't - sorry

dee24 · 07/11/2007 16:42

Just tell her that she should phone royal mail with the PO reference number which will be on her receipt Doubt she sent one in the first place anyway!
You have not received/cashed the PO so tell her when she calls royal mail they will be able to tell her this, cancel it and she can get her money back, then tell her that is the end of it all.

FrightOwl · 07/11/2007 16:46

can royal mail confirm that i havent received it? at first it was a cheque, now its changed to a postal order.

i dont know what she's playing at.

OP posts:
dee24 · 07/11/2007 17:25

They can't confirm that no but they can cancel it as it will have a unique reference. Tbh she probably won't phone as it sounds like shes at it, but it will get her off your back.
