Item not as described, what to do?

So I recently sold some designer boots on eBay, I myself bought them from Depop they were listed as a size 5 but they were just a little too tight, more like a 4/5.

I thought ahh well I'll sell them on they didn't cost me too much so thought I'd sell them on eBay.
First time they didn't sell so eBay re listed and I had an offer from a buyer who after a few offers I finally accepted.

Buyer paid I sent out the next day, done or so I thought.
I just got a message through eBay last night with buyer asking for a refund as item was not as described, the buyer said boots were too small that she's a size 4 and could get in them and that her son who is a 3.5 also couldn't get in them.
I am absolutely adamant that the boots would fit a size 4 as I am a size five and a half in some shoes and I could get in them.

Obviously this person is lying as they have a eBay account name highly suggesting they sell designed stuff as a business and there is no way they were that small. Unfortunately I didn't put measurements so I am tempted to ask for a picture of the boots with a tape measure next to them but as I think this person sells this stuff for a living they probably will use a smaller size shoe.

So what do I do? I've never had this before on eBay, obviously I won't give a refund without having the boots back and checking they are actually mine.

Any ideas? Thanks

What size did you list them as,?

If they don't fit, they don't fit - as you already know sizing differs across brands given they didn't fit you, I'm not clear on why she's "obviously lying." Getting a tape measure image doesn't alter the fact they don't fit - I'm a size 3 in some stores, a size 4.5 in others. I don't measure my foot in cm to determine my 'true size' as that clearly isn't reflected in the sizing provided.

Why make an enemy out of a buyer? Be polite, respectful, and let her return them.

Does it not say what size they are on the boot?

Thanks everyone, perhaps I'm being very unfair on making assumptions about the buyer.

I've no intention at all of being anything but polite and respectful towards the buyer, I just thought it was a bit far fetched to suggest her ds who is a 3.5 couldn't even get into them when I'm a size 5 and they did fit me was no struggling just a bit too snug.

I've sold on eBay before and had no problems, this is the first time I've had a refund request. I'm afraid I've jumped the gun after reading lots of negative stuff about refunds on eBay (after getting the request myself).

I just want to be cautious, I'm more than happy to refund but it really did seem to me that it was a bit dodgy, if she'd just said they didn't quite fit that's fine it was the bit about her ds not even getting them on rouse my suspicion because there is no way they were that small.

They are a size 5 but I advertised them as 4/5 because they are snug.

There isn’t really anything you can do here I’m afraid. Accept the return and supply a postage label (this just takes one click when you accept the return) and refund once they are returned.
