Buyer wants to collect item - should I ask her to pay first?

My buyer wants to collect an item rather than pay postage. Do you insist on payment before collection or allow them to pay cash when they come?

This buyer has several negative feedbacks after a dozen purchases so I'm a bit wary.

I'd say cash on collection - make sure you bold the word cash otherwise they might bring a cheque.

definitely cash on collection.
DO NOT take paypal - they can go home and take the money back and you will have no proof that they collected it

Cash when they come.

And have someone else there with you if you are concerned about letting strangers into your house! Unless the item is something you can hand over on the doorstep.

Heck, hadn't thought of them taking back Paypal funds! Thanks, cash it is. Am arranging rendez-vous elsewhere (busy place) - don't want her at my house, she sounds a bit odd

I like people t collect as it saves a trip to the PO. Most people do pay cash on collection. She could not take the PayPal funds back, only by opening a pay pal dispute that the items had not been received, could she do this, as you would not have a tracking number to prove the items were sent. Although how many people would actually do this.

She already has your address, so if she was up to no good, she's know where you live anyway.
