At the moment, it's just costing me money.

Why aren't my items selling?

Please be honest!

This is my eBay store

Agree with not bothering with a shop - just do normal auction listings or BIN, because the shop stuff doesn't always come up when you search. My personal feeling (when buying on ebay) is that you get more of a bargain from a private seller rather than a business.

Amend the title to include baby boy girl gift (try listing in the baby gifts section -people looking for unusual presents) Also key themes like space, cowboy, princess etc . Have a look at Laura Ashley, Cath Kidston, Next listings and see what people are searching on.

Sell on mumsnet?

I think the bibs are great. A friends sent me something similar from New Zealand for DS1 and they were all i used for the next two DC and they have been passed on. Perhaps stress the quality, that they are interlined, unlike the thin terry ones you get, with the horrid rustly plastic that splits etc.

Another thing to consider is that August is a slow month on ebay.
I sell books on ebay at the moment ( as a hobby) I sell about 30 per month.

I try to have at least 100 books listed on my shop at one time (less at the moment as I am not listing during the school holidays). I then do 90 day listings which work out cheaper than repeated 30 days listings with approx 5/6 auction items a week to direct traffic to the shop.

Agree with Niecie- perhaps make some other items too. Is the backing on the bibs totally waterproof? If it is you could make drawstring wet bags. I know these sell well from when I was looking to buy one to transport wet cloth nappies when out and about. They list in the nappies section.

You could also list them in the potty training section- I imagine they would fold up easily into your change bag and be useful for taking wet pants/socks etc home. Something we all need with young kids!

My first thought is the price TBH. I'm not sure I would go looking for a bib on ebay unless I was looking for one for a special occasion. Is there any way you can personalise them? A personalised one would make a great gift.

The other thing is that there isn't enough detail. When I look at the description, nothing says that it's very high quality etc. It just looks like a fairly bog standard bib at first glance.

Agree that small bibs would be a good idea. I never had a problem getting bibs for DS once he was 6 months or so, but he was a really sicky baby up until then and very few bibs fastened tight enough around the neck to catch all the sick!
