Sold pram for under £10 collection only but buyer is over 100 miles away

The pram new would be over £500 but mines is right at the end of its useful life coverwise. It’s still safe and could go on for another few years. But the covers would only last one more toddler climbing in and out.

I sold it for parts, dog walking with honest description. The buyer lives so far away they could buy a newer one for £50 -£100 and it would be cheaper than the petrol. They seem in no rush to collect.

All fine so far, but I fear they won’t come collect as financially it doesn’t make sense too.

It’s taking up room and I wanted the space but didn’t want to tip somethIng the ill has life. So how long do I have with no contact before I can refund? Do I keep chasing them up? I can’t even put it in the garage now I need case it gets damaged.

How long has it been?
Maybe they live 100miles away but have family/plans near by?
Maybe they’ve messed up and they think you’re posting it.. seen some strange auctions where sellers put p&p but in description say collection only.

If no contact in 48 hours refund them and relist.

Some buyers seem to think there's no world outside their immediate vicinity. The same has happened to us a few times. We've sold a shed for firewood, a garden water butt, a rotten garden seat - all basically for a pound. Then the buyer contacts us and is amazed we're so far away, as if it's a surprise we're not just round the corner from them.

I've done this, bought stuff collection only from somewhere which would be a 4h drive away, because it was down the road from my mum's house and we visit each other regularly. It's a good way to expand your search area beyond your home town/city and isn't necessarily indicative of anything dodgy.

It’s coming up two weeks, they arranged collection last weekend but it was in the afternoon for that evening. I didn’t see it until the next day. I have given my email number to text as well as message me ( but obviously a big off notice would be better) but no reply to that so far.

I won’t relist it, I just want it gone. So if if I was too leave it until the weekend and contact them again, then if no word still after that a week from there could I refund? I need to space as it’s just part of a bigger sort out.

You can refund whenever you want. If they paid by PayPal then log into your account and send the money back

I'd refund now and try and get rid via a local FB selling group.
