Reclaiming Final Valuation Fees

A buyer is returning some DVDs to me - I accidentally listed them as R2 instead of R1. Absolutely no problem, I'm going to refund all the costs involved.

Now, I want to claim back the FVFees and I can do this by filing an unpaid item dispute saying we've mutually agreed not to complete the transaction. If I do this, will it show up as a black mark against the buyer at all?? I don't want this to happen as it was my fault after all but I'd like my fees back

no black mark if mutual agreement - they must tick all the right boxes at their end tho

Does it send them an email then, asking them to fill something in? Ebay "help" is so difficult to find any answers on

not certain, but it must send them some sort of message.

i'd message them and tell them you are doing a mutual withdrawal from sale and ask them to look out for any prompts for them to agree to
