Does it cost lots in fees? DH wants to sell his peugeot 206 as it needs some work doing to it, not major work but needs to be done to run properably. Its a 1999 model and I don;t know how much to put it up at. help..

A lot depends on where you are - the more centrally placed/accessible you are, the more people will bid.

sparklygothkat · 14/06/2007 23:40

have already had someone email me and ask if I will take the car off and how much we would take to remove it.I said that I woould only do BIN

sold it yet sparkly?

sparklygothkat · 15/06/2007 20:54

not to him, he was rude, he offered me £600, which I think was too low especially since the other one I linked to last night has sold at £920!!!

yes let it run! i have to buy new car tomorrow

sparklygothkat · 15/06/2007 21:00

I said that it had a start price of £600 and it had 4 watchers, so I will not remove it for £600

We've just (finally!) sold our car on ebay (sort of) and from what we worked out, Paypal fees would have been the sting. As it happened, the buyer who came to view the car asked us to take it off auction if he offered us above the asking price - which we did so as someone else has said, no one would bid or buy it now while he was on his way home. We had no other watchers anyway and have been trying to sell the car since March so we didn't feel bad about ending the auction early.

Good luck with it!

sparklygothkat · 20/06/2007 22:49

ggrrrr why do people insist on emailing me 'how much for your 206??' have had lots!!!! I just had another one, I just replied 'it has one day left and would prefer to let the auction run now' Also we have 21 watchers, so I am hoping for a bidding-war tomorrow night ;)

You have my sympathy sparkly, we had one very persistant car dealer who kept emailing and offering us over a thousand pounds less than we wanted, using lines like
"it's only worth that" and
"are you ready to accept my offer yet?" etc.

Luckily for us, we got more than he was offering anyway, not what we originally wanted, but I just didn't like the attitude of "oh you'll have to accept my offer eventually as I'm right and you're desperate to sell your car"

fingers crossed for that bidding war!

On the listing it sounds as if it will cost £75 for both the choke and downpipe to be fixed. If it costs alot more then they could report you to ebay for false advertising. It probably best not to say how much it will cost at all.

sparklygothkat · 21/06/2007 10:26

thanks didn't think that it sounded that it was £75 for both, have removed the price.
