Broken mirror - seller not replying!

I bought a bathroom mirror from eBay and when I opened it, it was smashed. I sent a message to the seller attaching a pic of the broken mirror and asking him to replace it. But I've heard nothing. He's totally ignoring me. I looked at his seller's profile and he has 64 negative feedbacks in this month alone. What do I do and what are my rights? Thanks

Open a case with eBay and if he doesn’t respond to your satisfaction, then escalate it and eBay will refund you.

Please can you give the seller name (telling us that won't reveal anything about your Ebay name). I am astonished he's still trading; seems likely something went very wrong.

eBay will refund you but you'll have to go through their case process which will allow him seven days to respond before you can escalate to a claim.

It's a pita but you will get your money back eventually.

It's ibathuk. I'll wait a few more days and if I still haven't heard from them I'll open a dispute. Relieved to hear I'll get my money back. Thanks

There’s no point in waiting, just open a case now. By not all you’re doing is delaying getting your money back.

64 negatives in a month Shock yeah, don't wait, get your claim in rapid.

YeOldeTrout · 26/09/2018 22:50

The seller does >>2000 sales/month, about 3% of actual feedbacks are negative, and some of the negs are a bit odd (seem unfair), like "have been asking for vat invoice no reply as yet" or really vague complaints. So I can see why they are still trading and that some buyers are rather unreasonable.

You need to open a SND case now, there's no advantage to you not doing so.
