Best time to list things?

I want to list some winter shoes and clothing and suspect that it might not be the best time to list them. Would I be better off waiting until about October? They are branded items with a named style that are classics not high fashion.
They include things that should get a few bidders interested but I don't think I want to be paying listing fees if they won't sell.
Any thoughts please?

You won’t pay listing fees on items that don’t sell, unless your starting / BIN price is through the roof or you add on extra listing features.

But yes, I’d wait until the nights start to get darker...... maybe when the clocks go back. If you’re selling on an auction format then you will get more bidders then. I can’t imagine many people wanting to buy winter gear just now!

I’m in the same boat and have decided to wait. I have boots, gorgeous boots, that don’t fit anymore since I went up a shoe size when pregnant.

I did this week. Great time to buy, nobody else bidding.

Thanks for the reply BTW. I thought I had to pay the listing fee even if it didn't sell.
The last time I listed I had 20+ items listed and only one sold.

Depending on your sizes if they are well made classics I might buy them. Saves you some hassle. What have you got? :-) I love winter clothes.

I have a couple of size 4 boots - one pair unworn, one pair vgc. Retail at £100+ new, and I'd like about £65 and £45 for them.
Clothes - dresses in size 10. Jeans in size 8.
Most of the makes are things like Boden, Toast, Kew, Jigsaw etc

Feet go up and down in size. It's a myth that they don't -maybe some peoples don't but having a baby, gaining or losing weight, changes in exercise patterns and things cause changes (running shoes are usually a size or half a size longer than your normal shoes).
