Email him and ask why he left you a mutual as you may then want to comment on his feedback when you leave yours. If he is nasty- leave a negative. Maybe he doesn't quite get the whole feedback thing?

misdee do you sell a lot on eBay? How doe it work, is it not very dicey? dh has been pushing me to sell our unwanted stuff on eBay rather than donating it but I'm a little sceptical about the logistics. For instance, returns, money not coming through, mailing and delivering etc. and how quick is your turn over from advertising a product till you sell it?

Sorry about slight hijack!

misdee · 14/05/2007 19:54

i do sell a lot. fees are a pain though, and as most people want to pay with paypal that means even more fees. i try to keep [ics to a mimimum but am certain someone said about using htl codes i think to set up free pictures, so am looking into that.

This guy left me a neutral because 'postage was high' he forgot to include the cost of the jiffy bag, so think he got overcharged by 20p. looking at his feedback he does this a lot. havent left him feedback yet, still deciding on what to put.

But it was his choice to bid and the postage is there on the page so what did he expect!

southeastastra · 14/05/2007 20:07

grr i'd be mad. you could neut him with a commment 'buyer could have contacted me if he had issues with postage' type thing.

or a big fat neg

sixlostmonkeys · 14/05/2007 20:52

that neut would annoy me so much!
I'd be tempted to neg him, if only to try to stop him doing this in future.
I'd word it something like "V poor comms, imposs to please. Appears to make habbit of complaining.

FrannyandZooey · 14/05/2007 20:56

I think I might leave neutral in this case, although of course retaliatory feedback doesn't look good on your rep as a seller

I think I would say something like "complains about postage charges clearly stated in the auction" (they were, I presume?)

Oh btw would you still like the allergy ticket things? If so can you mail me your address pls?

SNOWBall4girlz · 14/05/2007 21:09

misdee I use photobucket and with turbo lister it is really simple and puts big pictures in your auctions
my user name is izzybelle159 if you want to have a look
if you want I can e-mail you how to do it

I once got a neutral because I sold a pair of trousers that the buyer said didn't fit. I always give seam to seam measurements, and my frank assessment of whether it's a large or small fit within the size range the manufacturer puts on the label. I figured it wasn't my fault that her arse was fatter than she thought, so I left her a neutral too.

misdee, if he's in the habit of doing this, I would leave him a negative this time. It might make him think twice next time.
