No.

nappyaddict · 04/05/2007 14:30

depends what your returns policy is. if you've said in that, that you will then yes. if you haven't specified then no.

nappyaddict · 04/05/2007 14:30

oh right no then. but in future i would state no returns. suggest they resell them on ebay.

mumto3girls · 04/05/2007 14:31

no..if they had been size 7 then yes, butthey are sold as described so no!

expatinscotland · 04/05/2007 14:31

I agree, state NO RETURNS, REFUNDS OR EXCHANGES on your next auction.

You're not running a shop.

not for size unless you incorrectly stated it in the first place

expatinscotland · 04/05/2007 14:34

I got royally screwed by a buyer, Aims, who then used PayPal to get the money back as the 'item was not as described'.

So if you use PayPal, I'd suggest pulling out BEFORE you contact the buyer so he can't fandagle a refund that way.

fannyannie · 04/05/2007 14:38

blimey I must be the only person in the world who's ever had to buy a different size from "normal" in some shoe shops/styles.....

I would, personally, offer a refund (but with him paying for return postage) for what he paid as it doesn't sound like he's being nasty about it. Infact I offer that on most of my items that I sell.

However, at the end of the day it's up to you - did you have other bidders on them? Perhaps you could do a 2nd chance offer to them?

I know ains - but what I'm trying to say is that - for example - the boots I'm currently wearing are a size 5 - but most of my other shoes are a size 4. It could just be that for his feet that particular style was too big........that's why I never buy shoes out of a catalogue/offline as I can never be sure that a "4" will actually be a "4" (ie the same as my feet).

However, as I said before if you didn't state that you offered refunds/returns then you're perfectly within your rights to email him back nicely as say so .

expatinscotland · 04/05/2007 14:51

I took the negative and moved on, Aims.

But if he paid through PayPal then be warned he could pull an 'item not as described' number and PayPal will refund him through your account.

So pull out before you contact him.

I had a contact at the Ombudsman and he sent me a letter to send them, knowing they'd have to pay for an investigation if I reported them, so they gave me back the money my rogue buyer had gotten and I deleted my account.

Havent been back on Ebay since and not missed it.
