Now that the dodgy postage claim has been resolved - what feedback should I leave?

for those that have managed to avoid the story

Summary:
Buyer wanted to collect small item, but we couldn't accomodate (there was no indication in listing he could collect)
Buyer delayed payment due to lack of paypal funds
Buyer claimed he had to pay additional/full postage when he collected parcel from PO. (I have since had confirmation from Royal Mail that this was UNTRUE.
After a week of letting me chase after this buyer sends an e-mail basically withdrawing his complaint' (was never a formal dispute) as "...royal mail will probably not be able to confirm his claim...".

Basically he has tried to get me to refund his postage by trying to DECIEVE ME

He has now left (positive) feedback
Do I leave Neutral or Negative?
What would you say with the charcter limitation?
Would you warn him it is going to be negative?

How about:
Easy to communicate with BUT slow payment and royal mail confirm his claim that he had to pay additional postage was 100% untrue. DECEITFUL ebayer in my experience.

Any comments welcome

I've been following this & it sounds good to me. I would prob leave neutral rather than neg feedback but that's 'cos I'm a wimp & want everyone to like me (I bought a totally unusable vintage sewing machine that was listed as working order, no rust - took it out of the box & you could smell the rust before you even took the cover off - I left neutral feedback even tho' he'd already left me positive & still feel guilty about it yet).

neg/ or neut it's up to you - slow payer. false claim for postage cost me a LOT of wasted time

then block him

SlightlyMadSkyscraper · 04/05/2007 13:52

Oooh that is much more concise 6monkeys

oh yeah forgot - you only get about 80 characters

fannyannie · 04/05/2007 13:52

I'd probably neutral him - and use your comment as above.

WriggleJiggle · 04/05/2007 13:58

If he has already left positive payment I would leave negative feedback. If he hasn't left any feedback I would wait until he had left his first.

Something along the lines of 'slow payment, disputed postage paid for recorded delivery'

It has to be very short or you run out of space. Keep it factual.

WriggleJiggle · 04/05/2007 13:59

Glad to hear its all ended OK for you.

My buyer was not impressed with his feedback [he he he]. It actually went back to back with another negative [he he he].

I only left neutral in the end. Caused a BIG argument with DP as he said I should not leave anything. I disagreed. If all ebayers only give positive or nothing everyone wold have 100% positive IMO.
