Why can't buyers READ descriptions! -rant alert-

I am selling little items, starting at £1 collection only. I did try selling by bulk, but no luck and individual items sell a lot better.

It's clearly written on all the listings that it's collection and cash only. Does it stop people bidding, paying with paypal and expecting delivery? Of course it doesn't.
On what planet do they think it's worth anybody's time and money to sell an item for £1, Pound that is supposed to cover ebay fees, paypal fees, transport, postal and package fees? Many of the stupid buyers are regular buyers and sellers themselves!

Why can't people read, let alone think!

I had a couple of people sending apologies when they realised they made a mistake, fine, it happens. But are the others cheeky fuckers really trying to get things for free? The title does not describe the items fully, so either they buy randomly, or they just chose to ignore the full details.

People drive me mad!

I never use eBay for collection only items for this reason. I stick to Gumtree and although I don’t use it I have heard Facebook selling is a good option to.
Just make sure to price the item at slightly higher than the price you want for it, as people always want to haggle and feel they’ve got a bargain.

thanks, I do sell on both, but I sell enough on Ebay to make it worth it. It's just gets very annoying to have the same thing done over and over again!
If I was sending the items, people would complain postage is too expensive, so I don't bother! You cannot win with buyers

I never ever have had this. Not once.

Sometimes I get folk asking if I'll change my mind & post, but even that is quite rare.

I wonder what I do that you guys don't. I sell a lot and plenty collection only.

I have only had one person make a mistake with a collection item. They realised it was collection only but didn't look at the postcode which was in the title and in the top line of the description and I think assumed it was near them when it was actually a very long way off.

I always put Collection Only and the first part of the postcode in the title so that it shows within the first few words.

I also put Cash on Collection in the first line. Only had one person PayPal it but it was a cheap item and she sent her Dad to pick it up. I didn't mind as she may have been a tired Mum (it was a children's item).

If you're selling stuff for a quid then maybe try a carboot?

One of the worst things I've ever done, for very little profit, but eBay is just such a massive pain in the arse for small stuff...!

You should have opened a non payer dispute with the first one to get your fees back. It seems as if they did report you in the hope of getting out of the purchase so I wouldn't hesitate.
